ROBERT “BOB” EARL HILL,

94, passed away December 21, 2023. He was born November 24, 1929 in Baylor County,

Texas, and was the son of Edgar and Annie Hill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Carlton

Hill.

Bob attended

Texas A&M in College Station, where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree on June 1, 1951. Upon graduation, he was appointed to Second Lieutenant, infantry in the Army, which he served valiantly. He made Little Rock, Ark., his home in the late 1950’s. While working for Olin Chemical, he met the love of his life, Jeanine Rudd, and they were married May 17, 1960. He changed careers in 1959, when he went to work for Democrat Printing and Lithograph company as Secretary Treasurer, and retired from there at the age of 67.

His nickname, used by many, was Chief, which is defined as a leader. He was also a kind, generous, selfless, witty, intellectu­al, and compassion­ate man, devoted to his family. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworkin­g, playing golf, cooking, and baking. Above all else, his family is what mattered most to him. He spent his entire life ensuring strong family values were installed in his children, to be passed down for generation­s.

Survived by wife of 63 years, Jeanine Rudd Hill; sister, Virginia Brunson; sons, Robert Scott Hill (Leslie) and John Andrew Hill (Allison); grandchild­ren, Kaitlin Denison (Adam), Nathan Hill (Nichole), Drew Hill (Anna Grace), and Alexa Hill; and seven great-grandchild­ren.
