ENGLAND — Carroll Edward Hart,

age 96, was carried to his home in heaven in the arms of his Lord and Savior on December 17, 2023. He was born on May 8, 1927 to Harvey Ray and Barbara (Drury) Hart in Russell, Ark.; “hub of the universe” as he referred to it. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Reba Mae (Davis) Hart; son, Dave Edward Hart; brothers, Vernon and Walter “Cotton” Hart and granddaugh­ter, Lori Nicole Chambers.

Left to cherish his memories are son; Mickey (Marilyn) Hart of Conway; daughter, Margaret (Tony) Chambers of England and brother, Loren Hart of Russellvil­le. He is also survived by seven grandchild­ren, 14 great- grandchild­ren, one great-great granddaugh­ter and many nephews, nieces, and special friends.

Known by many of his friends as Carroll, he worked at several different trades but found his niche in the excavation business.

Carroll was a man who easily made friends wherever he went. He enjoyed the years living in Conway making new friends at Cadron Baptist Church and the community. The last nine years of his life, he added to his long list of friends at Landmark Baptist Church and the community of England.

He was proud to serve his country in the U.S. Navy during World War ll.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 2 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob, Ark. Visitation will be held prior to services, beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Carter Cemetery in Russell, Ark.
