■ PRAYER AND PIZZA
for children will be held from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter’s Rock Missionary Baptist Church. The January speaker will be Dr. Rontae Graham, general dentist at Garrett Taylor DDS at Pine Bluff. The topic will be “You can/I did.” A special motivational presentation will be offered by a high school Kappa League under the leadership of the Rev. Travis Harden, pastor of Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Pine Bluff. The Prayer and Pizza group will serve pizza, sponsored by area businesses, and intercessors will pray and encourage the youth. The event is free and open to the general public. Pastors and youth leaders are urged to participate. The next Prayer and Pizza will be held Feb. 11 at New Community Church.
■ MT. NEBO MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH,
3201 W. Second Ave., will host the City Wide Mission meeting at 1 p.m. Jan. 22. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Renice Davis, pastor of Bethany Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Pine Bluff.
■ PILGRIM MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH,
2507 Hill St., will open its Raven’s Nest Food Pantry on Saturday from 8-9:30 a.m. or until all the food has been given away. Food will be handed out on a first come, firstserved basis. Participants must bring a picture identification. The pantry is a U.S. Department of Agriculture distribution site and an equal opportunity provider, according to a news release.
■ ST. JOHN AME CHURCH,
1117 W. Pullen St., will give away food boxes to those in need Saturday from 9 a.m. until all food has been distributed. State ID’s are required to receive one food box per family. Pickup will be in front of the church on Cherry Street. Recipients are asked to stay in their vehicles and open their trunks, according to a news release.
