MARILYN DEAN BLANTON-SANDERS,

75, entered eternity with her Savior Jesus Christ on January 11, 2024, and is now singing and dancing with the angels in Heaven.

Marilyn was born December 8, 1948, to the late A.D. Blanton, Sr., and JoAnn Martin. Marilyn accepted Christ at an early age at St. Luke Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Ark., under the late Pastor Willie James Brown. Currently, she is a member of Greater Center Star Baptist Church under Pastor Kenneth Traylor.

She is preceded in death by her parents, A.D. Blanton, Sr., and JoAnn Martin; one sister, Esther Rhodes; and two brothers, Theodis Blanton and Joe Alvin Blanton.

Marilyn attended Scipio A. Jones, transferri­ng to Harris High School, where she graduated Class of 1966. She retired from St. Vincent Rehabilita­tion Hospital in Sherwood, Arkansas, after 22 years of service in healthcare.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: one daughter, Dr. Rosilyn T. Sanders; four sons, Karl (Kimberly) Sanders, Adrian (Kimberly) Sanders, Darryel Sanders, and Ivan Griffin; 12 grandchild­ren; one great-grandson.

Marilyn has 12 siblings, A.D. Jr. (Barbara) Blanton, William (Jackie) Blanton, Orlando (Petita) Blanton, John (Melonie) Blanton, Reginald (Beverly) Blanton, Cedric (Tameka) Blanton, Samual Blanton and Dwight Blanton, Carilyn (Donelle) Parker, Angela (Calvin) Johnson, Teresa (Eric) Sisk, and Karen (John) Hardaway; and a host of nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Visitation is Friday, January 19, 2024, from 1-6 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1851 Marshall St., Little Rock, Ark. 72202.

Homegoing services will be Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 11 a.m., Greater Center Star Baptist Church, 800 W. 33rd Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72202.
