Rebecca “Becky” Lee (Kinder) Brooks of Pine Bluff, 94 years old, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, January 13, 2024. She had also resided in McGehee and Hot Springs Village, Ark..

Becky was born on July 20, 1929, in Camden, Ark., a daughter of Robert Earnest “R.E.” Kinder and Desdie Pearl (Stroder) Kinder. Her siblings Edna Ford, Evelyn Guice, Imogene Toler, and Robert “Bob” Kinder all preceded her in death. She was also predecease­d by her husband of 33 years, William Wilburn “Sonny” Brooks; and a son at birth, Robert Brooks.

Becky is survived by four daughters, Barbara (Henry) King of McGehee, Beverly Brooks of Pine Bluff, Deborah (Rick) Kematick of Sherwood, and Karen Brooks of Hot Springs Village; and son, David (Kristine) Brooks of Pine Bluff. She has 13 grandchild­ren; 17 great-grandchild­ren; and five great-great-grandchild­ren. Grandchild­ren include Lane King, Lisa (Bill) Jones, Jason (Amanda) King, Jeremy (Amanda) King, Shawn Saldana, Angelea (Gabe) Guzman, Joseph (Heather) Fratesi, Hope Smith, Todd (Amy) Brooks, Zach (Krystal) Brown, Chris Brown, Amanda (David) Coyle, and Chase Lee.

When living in Pine Bluff, Becky was a member of South Side Baptist Church. After moving to McGehee, she joined First Baptist Church and served there. She enjoyed serving as often as she could by teaching Sunday school for the small children, tending to the babies in the nursery, working in the food pantry or volunteeri­ng at the nursing home.

Visitation at Fuller HaleSouth Funeral Home in Pine Bluff at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
