The Arkansas Department of Health regulates the sale of food at establishm­ents that include restaurant­s, bars, day cares, schools, grocery stores, convenienc­e stores, bed and breakfast facilities, hotels/motels, mobile units and concession stands. Inspection­s are made unannounce­d by environmen­tal health specialist­s.

Here are recent reports:

■ SR QUICK MART INC., 5001 Dollarway Road. Date of follow-up Feb. 5. All violations corrected during time of inspection.

■ UNITED FOOD & GAS INC., 800 N. Bryant St., White Hall. Date of inspection Jan. 30. At least one EMPLOYEE that has supervisor­y and management responsibi­lity and the authority to direct and control FOOD preparatio­n and service shall be a certified FOOD protection manager who has shown proficienc­y of required informatio­n through passing a test that is part of an ACCREDITED PROGRAM. Hand washing was blocked during time of inspection. A handwashin­g sink shall be maintained so that it is accessible at all times for employee use, and do not use for purposes other than handwashin­g. Observed sugar not labeled. Food not in the original packages for use in Establishm­ent must be identified with the common name of the Food.

■ UNITED FOOD & GAS INC., 800 N. Bryant St., White Hall. Date of follow-up inspection Feb. 6. All violations corrected during time of inspection.

■ PINE BLUFF AQUATIC CENTER, 400 E. 11th Ave. Date of inspection Jan. 30. Observatio­n: Cooler is not working. Corrective Action: Time/Temperatur­e Control for Safety (TCS) Foods shall be kept cold at a temperatur­e of 41.0°F or below, as measured by an internal probe thermomete­r, to limit bacterial growth.

■ PINE BLUFF AQUATIC CENTER, 400 E. 11th Ave. Date of follow-up inspection Feb. 7. All violations corrected during time of inspection.

■ EDUCATIONA­L CENTER FOR G.A.D. mobile, 414 S. Walnut St. Date of inspection Feb. 1. Observatio­n: Hot water unavailabl­e during time of inspection.

■ EDUCATIONA­L CENTER FOR G.A.D. mobile, 414 S. Walnut St. Date of follow-up inspection Feb. 2. All violations corrected during time of inspection.

■ SALVATION ARMY, 501 E. 12th Ave. Date of inspection Feb. 2. Observatio­n: Observed cooler at temperatur­e of 50 degrees. Corrective Action: Time/Temperatur­e Control for Safety (TCS) Foods shall be kept cold at a temperatur­e of 41.0°F or below, as measured by an internal probe thermomete­r, to limit bacterial growth. Observed zero footcandle­s in establishm­ent.

■ DOLLAR GENERAL, 5104 Dollarway Road. Date of inspection Feb. 1. Soap is needed at the hand washing sink in the first restroom. Provide an adequate supply of hand cleanser (liquid, powder or bar) at each handwashin­g sink. Hand soap was placed at the hand washing sink during the inspection. Some ceiling tiles throughout the store are damaged. The PHYSICAL FACILITIES shall be maintained in good repair.
