FLOYD THOMAS HALEY

of North Little Rock, formerly Sheridan, Ark., was born and raised in Eudora, Ark., on December 29, 1938, to the late Elmo Howard and Flora Shelton Haley.

Mr. Haley joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 and gave 23 years of his life for his country. During his naval career he traveled to numerous countries and various states within the U S. Mr. Haley was a very proud veteran and loved his country. He could always be found in one of his Retired Navy hats and loved to show off his naval collection in his home. After retiring from the service at age 40, he started his own constructi­on company and worked for various constructi­on companies as well as several heating and air condition businesses. He also held his real estate and insurance licenses. Mr. Haley worked into his 80s, with his last project being a complete remodel of his and Nancy’s home after the massive flood in 2019.

Mr. Haley died on February 18, 2024, at the age of 85 as a result of respirator­y failure, with his children by his side.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Nancy Haley; as well as sons, Jeff Haley and Kerry Haley; and mother and fatherin-law, J.P. and Wilma Gregg.

Survivors include his oldest son, Jud Haley, wife Beth; his only daughter, Kelly Haley; as well as brother, Curt Haley; and sister, Jean Babcock. He was blessed with eight grandchild­ren and seven great-grandchild­ren: Judson Haley, Melinda and Michael, Trenton, Glenda, and RaeLynn Jones, Joseph and Randi, Gracyn and Jeffrey Haley, Justin Haley, Madison and Gina Haley, Julia, Carter, and Magnolia Haley, Madison Elkins, and Katherine Haley.

The family is forever grateful to Danielle Jordan and children for the love and care that they have shown both of our parents as well as extended friends and family over the last three years.

Funeral service will be Friday, February 23rd at 10:00 in the Chapel at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora, Ark., on Friday, February 23rd at 3:00.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 22nd from 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Gardens in Sheridan.
