April 9, 1943-August 23, 2022; Harriett Annette Foster nee Gardner: November 29, 1944-January 2, 2024.

Jerry Walter Foster was born on April 9, 1943, in Eugene, Ore., and died on August 23, 2022, in La Pine, Ore.

Jerry’s parents, Hildreth Marie Montgomery and Jonh Archibald Foster preceded Jerry in death, as did his sister Janice Foster.

Harriett Annette Foster nee Gardner was born on November 29, 1944, in Warren, Pa., and died on January 2, 2024, in Albuquerqu­e, N.M. Harriett’s parents, Sebastian Lancelot Gardner and Stella Mary Halford, preceded Harriett in death. Jerry is survived by his sister, Carol Foster.

Harriett is survived by family, including sister Mary Frances Dorman and her husband William Edward Dorman of Albuquerqu­e, N.M., and sister Sharen Lamuel of Jacksonvil­le, Ark.; aunt, Bea Marie Simmons of Austin, Ark.; several cousins; nieces; and nephews.

Harriett was a 1962 graduate of Sylvan Hills High School. Harriett and Jerry met in Denton, Texas, while Harriett was attending Texas Woman’s University, and Jerry was in the United States Air Force. They were married on August 11, 1966, in Garden Grove, Calif. Harriett was employed selling real estate. Jerry’s career with General Telephone took them to homes around the United States until he retired, and they settled in Paradise, Calif. After the Camp Fire destroyed Paradise in 2018, Jerry and Harriett built a home in LaPine, Ore. Following Jerry’s death, Harriett moved to Albuquerqu­e, N.M., to be close to family.

Jerry and Hariett’s cremains are interred at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, N.M.
