BENTON — Doris Ann Eubanks,

-

age 83, of Benton, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024. She was born June 15, 1940 in Benton, Ark. Doris Ann spent her life serving the Lord in quiet, but significant ways; whether it was teaching children’s church or hosting a women’s meeting or simply providing a meal for the down and out. She served the Lord by serving others without judgment and without complaint.

She had a way of turning simple things into beautiful things. She could take simple ingredients and turn them into a feast and take simple scraps of cloth and turn them into a tapestry.

Doris Ann was born in a simple time where most, like her family, had very little, and she turned it into a legacy of love and beauty that far exceeds any expectation.

Some would say it was determination and grit that all of this came about; she would say it was a result of her faith in a good God, her trust in a good husband, and the love of a good family that allowed her to finish strong. She is a living testimony for the Proverbs 31 woman.

“Many women do noble things but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” Proverbs 31:29-31.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Bertha Keen; husband, Bob Roy Eubanks; five brothers; and three sisters.

Doris Ann is survived by three sons, Kevin Eubanks (Cynthia), Robert Eubanks, and Todd Eubanks; daughter, Jeannie Marie Burchfield (Bob); six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 17 at Ashby Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 18 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Kentucky Cemetery. Bro. Jerry Riddle will be officiating.
