RISON — Shirley Annette Harper Stewart

passed away March 11, 2024 at the Greenhouse Cottages of Southern Hills in Rison, Ark. She was born December 26, 1935 down the Burnham Lane near Pansy. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Plunkett and Maggie Harper and her husband of 65 years, Billy Gene Stewart. She was a faithful member of Prosperity United Methodist Church her entire life. She was beloved and known by numerous people of Cleveland County after working at the Bank of Rison for over 25 years.

Shirley is survived by her son, Mike Stewart (Diana) of Pansy, two daughters, Kathy Davis (Paul) of Fayettevil­le, Ark., and Amy Womack (David) of El Dorado, Ark., four grandchild­ren, Kathryn Stewart, Joshua Stewart, Wes Davis and Sara Primm, and six great-grandchild­ren, Emma Poe, Crew Davis, Grady Davis, Hadley Primm, Harper Primm and Hollen Primm.

Services will be held Saturday, March 16 at Prosperity United Methodist Church at Pansy. Visitation is at 10:00 with funeral to follow at 11:00. Interment will be at Prosperity Cemetery at Herbine. Wayne Jordan and Mary Stewart will officiate with Martha Caldwell providing music. Pallbearer­s are Joshua Stewart, Wes Davis, David Womack, Wade Morrison, Rodney Morrison, Stephen Gilliam, Sonny Clark, Jerry Thomasson, Cliff Hobson, Mark Jordan and John Jordan.
