PARAGOULD — Patricia “Trish” Ann Aikman,

75, passed away on January 27, 2024, in Faulkner County, Ark.

Patricia was born on October 30, 1948, in Jonesboro, Ark., to John and Kathleen Moore. Patricia graduated from Black Rock, Ark., in 1966 and went on to earn a bachelors degree of Science in Home Economics Education at the University of Arkansas (1970) and later completed her masters degree in (1972). She started her career as a home economics teacher and taught Family and Consumer Sciences at Greene County Tech for 34 years.

Patricia married her spouse of 53 years, James Aikman, on July 5, 1970, in Walnut Ridge, Ark. The couple had two children, Sarah Ballentine and John Aikman. Patricia was best known for her love of family, attending grandchild­ren’s events, rocking babies at church, teaching, and traveling with friends.

Patricia is survived by her husband, James Aikman; daughter, Sarah Ballentine; son, John Aikman (Annette); grandchild­ren, Lexi Aikman, Matthew Aikman, Ella Ballentine; brother, Morris Moore; sisters-in-law, Marsha Moore, Saundra Lyons, and Berdina Aikman; brother-in-law, Jackie Aikman; nephews, Chris Briggs (Lora), Ben Moore (Sara), and Russ Aikman (Staci); and niece, Kim Schrader (Scott).

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, John Moore and Kathleen Moore.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 29, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. at Heath Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather at Bluffton Cemetery in Bluffton, Ark., at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2024, for a graveside funeral.

Memorial donations can be made in Patricia’s name to Harvest Baptist Church (building fund and nursery).
