▪ BARRAQUE STREET MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH,
1800 W. Pullen St., will hold its annual Men’s Day program at 11 a.m. Sunday. The theme will be “Passing the Torch: Training the Next Generation of Men” (Jer. 1:17-19.) The guest speaker will be the Rev. Earnest Thomas of St. Mark Baptist Church of Little Rock. Thomas is a native of Baton Rouge, La., where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Southern University. He is pursuing his Master of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry degrees at Antioch School of Church Planting and Leadership Development in Ames, Iowa. He and his wife, Roline Thomas, are the founders and directors of Earnest and Roline Ministries, a ministry of biblically based teaching in the form of workshops, seminars, conferences and counseling. The couple has four adult daughters and eight grandchildren.
