SATURDAY’S GAMES BASEBALL

ELKINS 15, LINCOLN 2 Austin Adams had 2 hits and drove in 5 runs as Elkins erupted for 10 runs in the second inning and defeated Lincoln in the first 3A-1 Conference tournament semifinal game at Mountain Home. Lincoln scored its runs in the first inning, but Elkins answered with four runs in the bottom half of the inning, including a two-run single by Adams to make it a 3-2 game. Adams then had a bases-clearing triple in the second and later scored on a wild pitch, while Zayne Walker added a two-run triple. Caleb Hankins also had two hits and two RBI for Elkins. Shiloh Christian scored 11 unanswered runs to win the 4A-1 Conference Tournament championsh­ip as top-seeded Saints defeated second seed Farmington in a game played at Springdale. The game was originally scheduled for Friday night in Farmington, but moved to Shiloh Christian’s field because wet conditions. The Saints scored four runs in the bottom of the second to erase a 2-1 deficit as Chandler Kemp and Brock Billingsle­y had RBI singles and A.J. Ylanan added a two-run single. Billingsle­y and Ylanan each drove in a run with a single as part of a four-run fourth, then Billingsle­y followed a Kemp sacrifice fly with a solo home run in the sixth. Billingsle­y finished with 3 hits and 4 RBI, while Ylanan had 3 hits and 3 RBI. Kemp had 3 hits and drove in 2 runs. The Saints finished with 13 hits. Shiloh Christian will take the conference’s top seed into the Class 4A North Region tournament at Morrilton. VALLEY SPRINGS 11, FLIPPIN 3 Riley Guynn’s fifth-inning single drove in Levi Carey with the go-ahead run as Valley Springs defeated Flippin in the 3A-1 Conference Tournament’s second semifinal game at Mountain Home. Guynn’s single snapped a 1-1 tie, then the Tigers scored another run in the sixth before they erupted for seven runs in the seventh. Rylan Ballard delivered the big blow with a bases-clearing triple while Carey added a two-run double. Guynn led Valley Springs with his three hits, while Avery and Camden Fredlund added two hits apiece. Guynn had pitched the final 3 1/3 innings of relief to earn the victory.

VALLEY VIEW 7, FAYETTEVIL­LE 3 Valley View broke a 1-1 tie with two runs in the fourth inning and went on to defeat host Fayettevil­le in nonconfere­nce action. The Blazers (24-2) added to their lead with a run in the sixth and two more in the seventh for a 7-1 cushion before the Bulldogs (21-5) scored twice in the bottom of the seventh. Landon Schaefer drew a bases-loaded walk and Eli Patrick added an RBI single. Patrick also drove in Fayettevil­le’s other run in the first when his double scored Schaefer, who drew a walk. Patrick finished with three of the Bulldogs’ five hits. Fayettevil­le pitchers only gave up 4 hits, but walked 3 and hit 5 batters. Valley View pitcher Eli Crecelius, a University of Arkansas signee, picked up the win. He pitched 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits, struck out 11 and walked 1. Ole Miss signee Slade Caldwell went 2 for 3 and scored a run for the Blazers.

FRIDAY’S LATE GAMES BASEBALL

GREENLAND 6, LIFE WAY CHRISTIAN

2 Brooks Baxendale had two hits and drove in a pair of runs as Greenland captured a second straight 2A-1 Conference championsh­ip with a win over Life Way Christian at Harrison. The Pirates (19-6) erased an early 1-0 deficit when Hank Ramsey’s bases-loaded single drove in Baxendale, who earlier walked. Carter Jackson then raced home with the go-ahead run as Ramsey was picked off first. Greenland then added two runs in the second and two more in the fourth.

Baxendale doubled in a run in the second and had an RBI single in the fourth after Brandon Vaughan’s triple drove in another run. Ramsey also had two hits for the Pirates, who combined eight hits with five Warrior errors. Greenland advances to the Class 2A West Region tournament at Lavaca and will play the opening game at 10 a.m. Thursday.

GIRLS SOCCER

FAYETTEVIL­LE 2, ROGERS HERITAGE

0 The Lady Bulldogs scored a goal in each half to get the 6A-West Conference win. Janie Kramer scored off a turnover in the midfield for the first Fayettevil­le (8-2-2, 4-1-2) goal. Eleanor Lock scored off a cross from Bennett Howard in the second half. The Lady War Eagles dropped to 9-4-2 overall and 3-2-2 in league play.

FORT SMITH SOUTHSIDE 3, SPRINGDALE HAR-BER 2 Maddie Sanger scored two goals and Sydney Lomeli had a goal as the Lady Mavericks (6-8-1, 2-5) picked up the 6A-West win. Marina Gonzalez Morales had two goals for Har-Ber (3-10-1, 0-7) with Alexa Salas adding an assist.

BOYS SOCCER

FORT SMITH SOUTHSIDE 6, SPRINGDALE HAR-BER 1 Gerardo Salinas scored three goals and Kevin Nguyen, Jesus Moreno and Evan Nobles each added single goals for the Mavericks (5-9-2, 3-4 6A-West) in the win over Har-Ber (4-5-2, 1-4-2). ROGERS HERITAGE 3, FAYETTEVIL­LE 1

Carter Ligi recorded a hat trick for the War Eagles, who rallied from an early 1-0 hole at David Gates Stadium in Rogers. Axel Perea, Gavin Ahlum and Ellan Hinojoza had assists for Heritage (9-7-1, 3-3-1 6A-West). J.P. Trevino scored for Fayettevil­le (11-5, 4-3) just 7 minutes into the match to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead. Ligi scored before halftime to tie the match 1-1. Ligi scored two more in the second half.
