Hamlin’s House: Hollywood’s Harry Hamlin cooks with celeb guests in all-new series

-

With five episodes packed full of delicious recipes, tales from Hollywood and exciting celebrity guests, “In the Kitchen With Harry Hamlin” premieres Wednesday, May 15, on IFC and AMC+. Both executive produced and hosted by the renowned actor, writer and entrepreneur Harry Hamlin — known for his roles in shows such as “L.A. Law” and “Mad Men,” and in movies such as 1981’s “Clash of the Titans” — this brand-new series joins Hamlin as he delves further into the culinary world alongside his niece, Renee Guilbault, a classically trained chef.

AMC, home to the series, announced that “In the Kitchen” will “put Hamlin’s passion for cooking and Guilbault’s expertise on full display as they share favorite recipes, practical kitchen tips and secrets for a successful dinner party that exudes casual elegance, welcoming new guests into the Hamlin kitchen each week.”

The guests in question will be plucked from across the pop culture spectrum, according to the network, with some “big-name” A-listers invited to take part in Hamlin’s first season, including the likes of Bobby Moynihan (“Saturday Night Live”), Ted Danson (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”) and his wife and fellow actress, Mary Steenburgen (“The Last Man on Earth”), Dean Norris (“Breaking Bad”); Ed Begley Jr. (“Better Call Saul”), Tongayi Chirisa (“Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches”) and Hamlin’s own wife, Lisa Rinna (“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”), among many others. When asked about his newly donned “Toque Blanche,” man-of-many-hats Hamlin was quoted saying: “I’m passionate about a lot of things … acting, non-radioactive fusion energy, Lisa Rinna’s lips, and, of course, my Bolognese sauce! But, the golden thread woven through them all is family, which is why I’m so excited to partner with my immensely talented chef, author, entrepreneur niece, Renee Guilbault, on ‘In the Kitchen with Harry Hamlin.’ “Each episode will invite viewers into our culinary happy place... the kitchen... where we’ll host a bunch of guests from across the pop culture spectrum, beginning with sharing traditions from our own family for the holiday-themed premiere episode,” Hamlin continued. “Join us as we go beyond Santa’s usual plate of cookies to create a fun-filled, delicious and heartwarming seasonal experience.” From AMC Network’s Content Room, “In the Kitchen With Harry Hamlin” — executive produced by Don Argott (“Last Days Here,” 2011) and Sheena M. Joyce (“The Atomic States of America,” 2012), in addition to Hamlin — premieres Wednesday, May 15, on IFC, and streams on AMC+.
