UNION BEACH - Alan “Al” Warren 76, of Union Beach passed away peacefully on July 6, 2023 at Bayshore Community Hospital. Al was born in Scranton, PA before moving to the West Keansburg section of Hazlet in 1956. In 1970, Al married his “bride”, Mary Jane, of 53 years where they settled in Union Beach to raise their family. Al retired from CSX Railroad formerly Conrail after a 33 year career and spent the last 16 years enjoying his retirement. He was a lover of animals, the New York Baseball teams and spending time enjoying the Keyport and Union Beach waterfront­s. He spent many of his days fishing with his family and most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandchild­ren, whom could do no wrong. He truly enjoyed the simple things in life. Al was predecease­d by his parents, Willard and Lucille Warren, siblings, William “Slap”(Esther) Warren, Nancy(Elmer) Masters, Marjane “Midge” Warren, Ronald(Gloria) Warren, Janice(Leo) Fellion, Kenneth(Grace) Warren, Robert Warren, Phyllis Warren sister in law Terry Warren, Jerry Jameson and brother in law Andy Senar.

Al is survived by his wife Mary Jane Warren of 53 years and his cherished children, Holly (Mark) Marenzana, Alan (Mariann) Warren Jr. and Patrick (Mary) Warren. He is the beloved Grandfathe­r of Stephen (Alyssa), Justin, Brandon, Alan III, Allison, Justin, Brooklyn, Aiden and Eryn and great grandfathe­r to Jaxson and Paetyn. Also surviving are his siblings, Donald (Dee) Warren, George Warren, Bette (Frank) Reap, Jackie Senar and sister in law Marialice Warren along with a host of beloved nieces and nephews and countless great nieces and nephews.

A private cremation will be held under the direction of Laurel Funeral Home, Hazlet, NJ.
