John J. Crescenzo, Sr.

JOHN CRESCENZO, SR. 95, entered his eternal rest on December 14, 2023. He was born and raised in West New York, NJ. He was a resident of Brick since 1959 where he and his wife Jean Howell Crescenzo raised their family. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Jersey City State College, a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from Seton Hall University and completed additional graduate course work at Montclair State College. In 1983, prior to his retirement as an Educator in 1984, he founded Jersey State Energy Controls Company, with his wife Jean and sons Mark and John, Jr. From its start in the Crescenzo’s Brick residence basement, the company has grown into a highly respected contracting firm employing more than 60 employees with its main office located in the Brick, NJ.

For many years after the death of his loving wife, Jean Howell Crescenzo in 1998, John cherished with extreme pleasure the loving relationship, caring and attention of Brenda Tuccillo, who was his faithful companion and best friend.

John, Sr. was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Vera Crescenzo, his wife Jean Howell Crescenzo and his brother Dr. Ronald Crescenzo. He is survived by his sons, John, Jr. (Marie), Mark (Susan) and six grandchildren Joseph (Lauren), Nicholas, Katharine and Alena Crescenzo and Stef (Tom) Gallicchio and Michael Fava and great granddaughter Vera.
