BERKELEY TWP. Frederick Gerard Elmiger, 90, of Holiday City West section of Berkeley Twp., NJ, passed away Monday, January 22, 2024. He was born in Elizabeth, NJ, and lived in Cranford before moving to Berkeley Twp 25 years ago. Fred served in the United States Marine Corps and was a graduate of Seton Hall University with a B.S. degree in Business Administra­tion. He worked in Management at Exxon-Mobil for many years prior to retirement.

Fred was a parishione­r of St. Joseph RC Church, Toms River. He was also a member of the Toms River Elks Lodge #1875.

He was predecease­d by his first wife, Margaret in 2019, his parents George and Mary Elmiger, and his granddaugh­ter Caitlin. He is survived by his wife Dr. Ann Tritak-Elmiger, and his seven children: Frederick and Donna Elmiger, Jr., Michael and Dawne Elmiger, Gregory and Melanie Elmiger, Peggy and Keith Mattes, Genevieve Elmiger, Joanne Elmiger, and Mary and Matt Jones. Fred is also survived by 12 grandchild­ren and 11 great-grandchild­ren.

The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday, January 28, 2:00pm – 4:00pm & 7:00pm – 9:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday January 29 at 10:00am at St. Joseph RC Church, Hooper Ave, Toms River.
