Helen Ann Costello

HAZLET - Helen Ann Costello (nee Tynan), age 76, of Hazlet, NJ, passed away on February 11, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 15, 1947, in New York City to the late Edward and Gloria Tynan. Helen was a loving and kind-hearted daughter, sister, wife, and aunt who cherished her family and friends.

Helen spent most of her life in Hazlet, NJ, where she has resided since 1960. She attended Raritan High School and proceeded to have a successful career with the Department of Defense at Fort Monmouth, NJ, where she dedicated 33 years of service before retiring in 2011.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Helen, and her sharp wit and unmatched sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Peter Costello in 2016, and is survived by her brothers Michael Tynan (spouse Laurice) and Glenn Tynan (spouse Karen), stepson Peter Costello (spouse Ellen), and stepdaughter, Brigette Rosenbaum (spouse Joseph). She was a proud aunt to nieces Laurice Davidson (spouse Christian), Meghan Tynan (spouse Ryan Killeen), Kristen Tynan (fiancé Michael Brand), and Justine Tynan, and nephews David Rosenbaum, Zachary Rosenbaum, and Jake Rosenbaum.

Viewings will be held at Laurel Funeral Home, located at 201 Laurel Avenue in West Keansburg, NJ. Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects on [Date and Time Not Provided]. The viewing hours will be from 2-5 pm Saturday February 17, 2024.
