NEPTUNE – Aldi will open its new Route 35 store, a replacement for its old location a mile away, on March 7.

The new Aldi will be part of the new Marketplace at Neptune shopping center just off Asbury Circle. The 20,442square-foot store at 722 Route 35 will open at 8:45 a.m. on March 7, with regular store hours 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week.

The old store at 15 Route 35 will close on March 5.

Aldi said the new store will have an improved layout and ample refrigeration to accommodate an expanded selection of food including fresh items.

“We are eager to provide local shoppers with a revamped and refreshed Aldi store, designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier,” said Bob Grammer, Aldi’s Center Valley regional vice president, in a statement.

“We are always looking out for the needs of our shoppers and decided to move our Neptune store to allow more room for added fresh, high-quality products at affordable prices, which our loyal shoppers know and love.”

Known for its small stores, 90% of the groceries sold are under Aldi’s exclusive brands, which the grocer says will help customers save on their grocery bill.

The store features organic meats, fresh produce, sustainable seafood, cheese selections, and food for every lifestyle, including gluten-free and plant-based.

The store also has weekly offerings of limited-time “Aldi Finds” like seasonal food and home goods.

On grand opening day, the first 100 customers will receive a gift bag filled with a sampling of Aldi favorite products.
