Elizabeth K. Kelly

-

Elizabeth K. (“Beth/ Liz”) Kelly, 78, of Red Bank, a two-time survivor of breast cancer, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 15, 2024, after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer.

The youngest of four children born to Francis and Catherine (Kinnealy) Vincent, Beth spent her formative years in Kearny, NJ and at the Jersey Shore, where she met the love of her life, David B. Kelly, Jr. They married in July of 1974 and remained devoted to each other for nearly 50 years of marriage, during which they welcomed their four amazing children into the world. Beth’s kind-hearted, genuine nature was a constant beacon to all, shining through the darkest of nights and the brightest of days. Her gentle grace was continuously displayed even while performing the arduous duties that kept the house running smoothly. Although always vigilant in putting the needs of others first, Beth cherished the brief respite that she so greatly earned each night to “put her toes up” while watching Jeopardy and “Flip the Letters” on Wheel of Fortune. While the loss of this truly remarkable woman is unfathomable, her family takes immense comfort in knowing that her suffering has finally ended.

Beth will be deeply missed by her adoring husband, David B. Kelly, Jr., her cherished children, David B. Kelly, III, M.D., John Kelly, Esq., Meaghan Kelly, Esq. and James Kelly, M.I.C.P., her loving daughters-in-law, Kristin Kelly and Shannon Kelly, and her doting grandson, Joseph David, who affectionately referred to her as his “MomMom.” Beth was also an ardent animal lover of all her family pets: Midnight, Snickers, Flint, Holden, Wrigley, Olivia, and Elliot.

Beth is pre-deceased by her parents, Francis and Catherine Vincent, and by her sisters, Sr. Catherine Vincent, S.C. and Jacqueline Burns. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Francis Vincent (and his wife Charlotte) and Maureen Waters (and her husband Albert), and her extended family of in-laws and many nieces and nephews.

In honor of her valiant battles against cancer, donations may be made in Beth’s memory to the American Cancer Society at: https://www.cancer. org/donate. Memories and condolences may be shared on Beth’s tribute page at: https://www.johnedayfuneralhome.com/tributes/Elizabeth-Kelly
