ATLANTA FALCONS
INSIDE THE LOCKER ROOM AN NFL TEAM INSIDER FIELDS KEY FANTASY QUESTIONS
Will Bijan Robinson be a one-man backfield or part of a rotation?
While Robinson should be the featured back in the Falcons offense by the end of the year, look for Tyler Allgeier to still get plenty of snaps throughout the season. The team also has veteran Cordarrelle Patterson to filter into the game plan, although you should expect them to use him sparingly for maximum effect. Robinson will get plenty of looks throughout his first year; he just won’t have to shoulder the load by himself.
Will Kyle Pitts bounce back in Year 3?
While fantasy football fans might’ve been disappointed by Pitts’ sophomore season, he had two huge factors arrayed against him: He had injuries throughout the 2022 season, and former Falcons quarterback Marcus Mariota struggled to get him the ball consistently. With a more pass-happy quarterback in Desmond Ridder, Pitts should soar in his third season. Arthur Smith surely realizes he has a generational talent at tight end; Mariota targeted Pitts plenty last year, but the two simply had a bad connection. Pick up Pitts in your league this year and watch him feast.
Who other than Drake London can emerge from the WR corps?
The wideout room isn’t all that starry after London, but free agent Mack Hollins could separate himself from the rest pretty quickly if the team doesn’t add anyone over the summer. Hollins’ 690-yard, four-TD season with the Las Vegas Raiders last fall hints at more production potential. Also, Ridder had a strong connection with wide receiver Jared Bernhardt in preseason last summer, so keep an eye on him if he makes the roster.
