SCOUTING THE JAGUARS

OPPOSING SCOUTS SIZE UP JACKSONVILLE

“Trevor Lawrence put it all together in his second season. Have to give Doug Pederson a ton of credit for helping to develop him and finding the right players to make this offense go. Lawrence is a classic pocket passer, and he has the work ethic to lead the franchise. … Christian Kirk, as it turned out, wasn’t overpaid. He was worth the big money they spent on him as a free agent. … Cam Robinson’s performance-enhancing drug policy suspension would be a major problem if not for the Jaguars drafting Anton Harrison. He should be a good replacement. … Travis Etienne Jr. is one of the top all-purpose backs in the league. … Calvin Ridley could be the Comeback Player of the Year after the gambling suspension. … Evan Engram is a matchup problem. … Derek Parish, the fullback they drafted late, is a converted edge rusher. I see him playing both positions in the NFL and on special teams. … DaVon Hamilton is really valuable to this defense. He earned that extension. … I thought Devin Lloyd looked lost out there as a rookie. … K’Lavon Chaisson hasn’t lived up to his draft status. … Travon Walker has much better traits than Aidan Hutchinson, but Hutchinson is a much better football player. … Tyson Campbell and Darious Williams aren’t a flashy corner tandem, but they get the job done most of the time. … Andre Cisco is rangy and smart. … Foyesade Oluokun has a knack for navigating traffic and finding the football and was one of their better free-agent signings last year.”
