FINISHED WITH YOUR EXTENSIVE HOME RENOVATION AND NEED THE FINAL TOUCH? Or maybe you’re looking for a house project without all the construction. When done correctly, updating the paint on your home can bring a whole new look to the space. To help get your ideas flowing, gather some mod inspiration from these homes!

POPS OF COLOR

For many homes, painting the entire exterior in a vibrant hue may be too much. The bright green doors and window trim on this home not only provide a pop of color; they also mimic the surrounding flora. Crisp white trim creates a visual break between the home and its lush backdrop. For a fully cohesive look, the planters, sconces and mailbox are also a white hue. The cool gray used as a main color helps to highlight the architectural lines and acts as an anchor among the contrasting shades.

LIGHT AND FRESH

Want to make your kitchen look brighter? Use sunny tones to accentuate the dappled light shining through the windows. Warm yellow hues in this kitchen pair with white subway tile for a really fresh and inviting look. Using silver knobs and drawer pulls coordinates with the surrounding appliances and helps to break up the color. To complement the bright cabinetry, a subtle green with a yellow undertone was used on the walls. Rich wood flooring and darker countertops contrast with the light paints, and a crisp white trim around the windows pulls the look of the room together.
