BACK­GROUND: The firms dpai ar­chi­tec­ture inc. and Toms + Mcnally De­sign col­lab­o­rated on the ren­o­va­tion, giv­ing the home’s tra­di­tional in­te­rior a mod­ern up­date.

DEC­O­RAT­ING COLOR SCHEME: Vi­brant white con­trasts the home’s warm wood floor­ing and ac­cents through­out. The kitchen is given a strik­ing pop of robin’s egg blue from the retro-styled ap­pli­ances.

IN­NO­VA­TIVE IDEA: The clas­sic back­splash was ex­panded into an eye-catch­ing robin’s egg blue fea­ture wall that com­ple­ments the ap­pli­ances and uni­fies the open kitchen space.
