Texas falls to Tuc­son on Sislo’s goal in OT

Mike Sislo scored 2 min­utes, 10 sec­onds into over­time to lift the Tuc­son Road­run­ners over the Texas Stars 2-1 in Ari­zona on Fri­day night.

The game was tied 1-1 head­ing to the third pe­riod, and nei­ther team could move ahead in reg­u­la­tion.

Lan­don Bow made 25 saves but took the loss for Texas.

Hunter Miska was tested fewer times, hav­ing to make just 15 saves on the way to the win.

Tuc­son (31-17-4-1) took the lead in the se­cond pe­riod on a power-play goal by Carter Camper. Sislo as­sisted on the goal 6:09 into the pe­riod. It was Camper’s 14th goal of the sea­son.

Texas (31-21-6-3) tied the game on a goal by Sa­muel Laberge 14:14 into the pe­riod. It was Laberge’s sixth of the year. He was as­sisted by Dil­lon Heather­ing­ton and Matt Man­gene.

The Stars aimed to bounce back as they faced the Road­run­ners again Satur­day night in Tuc­son.

Texas will re­turn home for a four-game stretch that starts at 7:30 p.m. Wed­nes­day against Man­i­toba at the H-E-B Cen­ter in Cedar Park.
