Six Spurs in dou­ble dig­its as Austin out­paces Reno

Ev­ery mem­ber scores in win against Bighorns.

Ev­ery mem­ber of the Austin Spurs scored as they de­feated the Reno Bighorns 144-115 at the H-E-B Cen­ter at Cedar Park on Fri­day night.

Three Spurs (28-16) scored at least 20 points and six scored in dou­ble dig­its in the win.

Der­rick White had another big game, scor­ing 26 points to lead Austin. He added six re­bounds, two as­sists and a steal.

Jaron Blos­somgame recorded a dou­ble-dou­ble for Austin, scor­ing 20 points and pulling down 11 re­bounds.

Dar­run Hil­liard scored 22 points and hit 5 of 9 from 3-point range.

The Spurs were on fire from the field, shoot­ing 61 per­cent over­all. They knocked down 14 of 26 3-point­ers for 54 per­cent.

Jeff Led­bet­ter went 3-for-3 from long range, scor­ing 17 points on the night.

The Bighorns (24-18) had a good night of­fen­sively, but they couldn’t keep up with Austin. Seven Bighorns scored in dou­ble fig­ures, but the team shot 43 per­cent. David Stock­ton led the way with 23 points.

Austin fin­ished the first quar­ter with a 13-point lead, and the teams com­bined to score 75 in the se­cond pe­riod. The Spurs led by as many as 32 points in the game.

Austin outscored Reno 22-11 on fast-break points and held a 54-42 edge in points in the paint.

The win put the Spurs a game and a half ahead of the South Bay Lak­ers for the top seed in the NBA G League’s Western Con­fer­ence.
