War­rant roundup be­gins Tues­day

The San Mar­cos Mu­nic­i­pal Court is of­fer­ing dis­counted fees for el­i­gi­ble cases be­fore start­ing con­cen­trated war­rant en­force­ment Tues­day.

De­fen­dants with out­stand­ing cases with the court are urged to con­tact the San Mar­cos Mu­nic­i­pal Court im­me­di­ately to avoid ar­rest. De­fen­dants who pay a case in war­rant sta­tus in full will be el­i­gi­ble to get the $50 dol­lar war­rant fee waived and, if the case is in col­lec­tions, a re­duc­tion in that fee of $15.

The mu­nic­i­pal court ac­cepts cash, checks, money or­ders, cashier’s checks, Visa, Master­Card and Dis­cover. In­di­vid­u­als may make credit card pay­ments di­rectly to the court by phone dur­ing reg­u­lar court hours or 24/7 when pay­ing in full at san­mar­costx.gov/court.

Those who mail in pay­ments should in­clude their driver’s li­cense num­ber and case or ticket num­ber to en­sure proper credit. Pay­ments may be mailed to Mu­nic­i­pal Court, City of San Mar­cos, 712 S. Stage­coach Trail, San Mar­cos, TX 78666.
