‘ONCE’ AT ZACH THEATRE

Austin American-Statesman Sunday - - THE PLANNER -

7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, 2:30 p.m. Sunday through Oct. 28. $30-$153. The Topfer at Zach Theatre, 202 S. Lamar Blvd. zachtheatre.org.

Based on the 2007 Academy Award-winning film, the musical “Once,” as produced by Zach Theatre, is an enchanting modern love story about an Irish musician and a Czech immigrant who are drawn together by their shared love of music. Their unexpected friendship turns into a romance heightened by the raw emotion of their songs. The production features breathtaking melodies by Glen Hansard of the Irish band the Frames that will have you falling in love at the very first note.
