Gray: UT wasn’t distracted vs. TCU

Q&A

- Continued from Did the team get distracted last week by the talk about texas’ possibility of winning the Big 12 championship? What does case mccoy bring to the table? Your punter is listed as your third-string quarterback. How good of an arm does Alex Kin

No, we looked at TCU and knew that we had to play those guys tough. We weren’t focused on the Big 12 title or anything like that. We were just focusing on TCU and trying to get a win.

He brings motivation. He’s an outgoing guy, always ■red up and ready to do whatever coaches ask of him. Being back there with him this week, we’ll see how it goes and I’m looking forward to it.

practicing with him right now. I’m not too sure yet, Coach Harsin has that in his hands, so we’ll see.

Back in middle school, probably.

I was all right. I wasn’t the starter; I was a running back.

I think that it doesn’t matter what quarterback’s in, we’re willing to play with both. We’ll play hard for both of them and whatever quarterback’s in, we’re rolling with them.

It was a tough loss. We had opportunities, we couldn’t get it done. We’re looking past that ... to K-State and ■nishing out ... with a win.

I think that the seniors are ready to go out with a win, and they deserve it. They’ve been here and they know what it takes to win and work hard. We’re looking forward to K-State this week ... and hopefully we’ll come out with a win.

I’ve learned a lot from them. As far as playing, running styles are different, but always run hard, being good at pass (protection) and just knowing the game of football. Outside of football, just stay humble and be a great guy and roll with the punches.

You hate it as a teammate, as a player. Jeremy is like my big brother, and I hate to see him go down his senior year. I wish he could have ■nished out the season, but we’ll ■nish it out for him.

It’s been going well. It’s kind of what I expected, sitting back and learning and getting better each and every week.

I looked at it as no pressure. I don’t take outside suggestions and stufi. Just got to be with your teammates and learn from the game and get better at your time.

I learned a lot from him, as far as football goes. He was a power back, and he just told me “Hey, run hard, run fast and get away from the opponents.” He’s taught me the game and he just said when you get to college, get better and it’s up to you to decide your future. And that’s what I’m doing right now.

I told them to keep your head up, you’ve got next season to look forward to and just get better in the ofiseason and prepare.

I’ve been having 32 since Pee-Wee. We won my ■rst (youth) Super Bowl when I ■rst picked that number, so it’s been sticking with me.
