The Pflugerville School Board last week upheld the district administration’s decision to offer insurance benefits to domestic partners starting Jan. 1. The decision makes Pflugerville the first school district in Texas to offer such benefits.

Kevin Murphey: Separation of church and state? What two people do in their house is none of my, or anyone else’s business; bring it outside and public and it impacts everyone’s life.

Brent Douglas: Good job Pflugerville! It’s time to move this state forward!

Misty Anderson: Didn’t think Pflugerville would be the first. Surprised, but very proud of them, too! Come on Austin ... !

Ceja Stone cold Fox Kratos Ray: Way to go! Now if Austin follows others will also ... We are the capital! Come on Texas. Show them we are leaders of freedom!

Brady Bragg: Now, Attorney General Greg Abbott, stay out of our community’s business. There’s nothing unconstitutional about health care benefits for citizens.

Sara Hall Stubbs: I thought Christ commanded his followers to “love the least of these” and to “do unto others.” Why does it seem that the Christians with the most religious convictions spew the most hatred? Congratulations, Pflugerville, for being Christlike!

Candy Clark Reed: Glad for this decision Pflugerville!

Karen Hoover: The rest of them should follow suit. … Pflugerville is leading by example. Get involved in the discussion about the day’s news on
