Joseph scores 30 as Toros roll to win
Cory Joseph scored a D-League season-high 30 points to lead the Austin Toros past the Texas Legends 110-97 Tuesday at Cedar Park Center.
Joseph, a 6-foot-3inch guard, has bounced back and forth between the Toros and their parent NBA club, the San Antonio Spurs, this season. The former Texas Longhorn made 3 of 4 three-point shots to boost Austin (6-3), which rallied from a 10-point deficit in the third quarter.
The Toros have won six of seven games in December. They will play back-to-back home games against Reno and Sioux Falls, respectively, on Friday and Saturday nights.
Guard Justin Dentmon added 22 points, five rebounds and four assists for Austin while his teammates Tyler Wiklerson and Patrick Sullivan both recorded double-doubles. Wilkerson finished with 15 pints and 11 rebounds, and Sullivan added 14 points and 13 boards.
Texas was lead by Chris Douglas-Roberts, who scored 24 points.
