Uconn, back at No. 1, rolls to win at Oregon

Kaleena MosquedaLe­wis scored 19 points and No. 1 Connecticu­t celebrated its return to the top of the rankings with a 95-51 road victory against Oregon on Monday.

Earlier in the day, the Huskies (12-0) took over the No. 1 spot in The Associated Press poll for the first time since the end of the 2010-11. They followed with their 12th win to remain undefeated.

Stefanie Dolson had 16 points and Caroline Doty had 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Huskies.

Jillian Alleyne had 18 points to lead the Ducks (2-10). Oregon went scoreless in the first five minutes and last five minutes of the first half and trailed 54-24 at the break.

No. 5 Notre Dame 128, St. Francis, Pa. 55: Markisha Wright scored 20 points for Notre Dame in a romp past St. Francis, Pa., at South Bend, Ind.

Notre Dame (10-1) dominated on both ends of the floor, forcing 33 turnovers and turning those into 49 points. The Irish led 63-25 at the break, their largest halftime lead of the season.

Alexa Hayward led the Red Flash (5-6) with 13 points.

No. 11 Louisville 88, Tennessee St. 25: Monique Reid scored 20 points and Sara Hammond and Sheronne Vails each had double-doubles as Louisville (12-2) earned a third consecutiv­e blowout victory by beating Tennessee State (4-8). The 63-point margin of victory was the sixth largest in Cardinals’ history — they notched the second largest with a 74point win over Wagner in their last game on Dec. 21.

No. 16 UCLA 73, Saint Joseph’s 65: Thea Lemberger tied her career high with four 3-pointers in scoring 20 points to lead UCLA (9-2) over Saint Joseph’s (8-5), sending the Bruins into Pac-12 play with two straight victories.
