1B Chris McGuiness (6-1, 210, 25) — A Rule 5 draft pick who spent spring training with the Indians before returning to the Rangers. He batted .268 for Frisco last season, belting 23 home runs, and will make his TripleA debut this season. SS-2B Greg Miclat (5-8,

180, 26) —Switch-hitter, who could see action at shortstop, second base and even third, was the final piece of the Rangers’2011 trade with Baltimore that involved catcher Taylor Teagarden. Miclat played in just 37 games in 2012 because of a wrist injury — batting .275 with 10 doubles in 109 at-

bats — but he finished the season with Round Rock

3B Mike Olt (6-2, 210 24) — The No. 2- ranked prospect in the Rangers’ organization, Olt grew up on the East Coast as a fan of Derek Jeter and the Yankees. He will move around on defense, as he tries to develop fielding skills at first base and in the outfield. Olt smacked 28 homers in 95 games for Double-A Frisco last season, and he’s the best power hitter with the Express, manager Bobby Jones said. SS Jurickson Profar (6-0, 165, 20) – The consensus No. 1 minor-league prospect, Profar might already have joined a big-league club that didn’t have Ian Kinsler and Elvis Andrus on its roster. Profar can hit (.281, 26 doubles, 14 HR and 62 RBIs in Double-A last season), but he also committed 22 errors at shortstop. Profar, from Curacao, played for the Netherlands in the World Baseball Classic. 2B Yangervis Solarte (511, 195, 25) — Jones calls Solarte one of the top prospects in Round Rock. Last season, Solarte batted .288 with 28 doubles and 11 home runs for Round Rock. Solarte falls in a similar category with Profar, as in he plays in the infield, where the Rangers are stocked with talent. He will play at second, third and in the outfield in his eighth minor-league season.
