Week 4 saw good performances by running backs, tough outings for stud receivers and the emergence of Devonta Freeman as a must-start running back.

Here’s a Week 4 recap as well as waiver wire suggestions for Week 5.

Pick ’em up

C.J. Spiller, Saints RB: The Saints owe their fifirst win to Spiller, who’s supposed to be the new Darren Sproles for New Orleans. His 99 yards receiving, 80 on the winning touchdown, led the Saints against the Cowboys.

Josh McCown, Browns QB: With byes in the mix, it might be a good idea to pick him up as a one- week replacement. He’s been on a modest tear, throwing for 697 yards and four touchdowns, with only one interception, in the past two weeks.

Tavon Austin, Rams WR: He has the talent to be a consistent fant asy scorer, but he hasn’t really put it all together until this week. He caught six passes for 96 yards and two TDs against a tough Cardinals defense.

Leonard Hankerson, Falcons WR: He’s turning into the No. 2 receiver for Matt Ryan as Roddy White has been nearly shut out in the past few weeks. Hankerson topped 100 yards and scored a touchdown.

Gary Barnidge, Browns TE: Another Browns suggestion? Yes, the tight end and McCown have displayed pretty good chemistry as Barnidge has totaled 180 yards and two TDs in his past two games.

How’d they do?

A look at how last week’s suggestions fared.

Mike Vick, Steelers QB: He produced only 124 yards through the air, including a touchdown pass. He added 33 yards on the ground.

Karlos Williams, Bills RB: Rushed for only 40 yards on 18 carries, but added 30 yards receiving and a touchdown catch.

Jonas Gray, Dolphins RB: He had one touch now that Lamar Miller ’s healthy.

Week 4 Losers

Peyton Manning, Broncos QB: Threw a TD pass but had two intercep - tions and only 213 yards.

Arian Foster, Texans RB: His return left much to be desired as he rushed for just 10 yards and lost a fumble.

Carlos Hyde, 49ers RB: Has just 114 yards in past three games combined.

Latavius Murray, Raiders RB: Rushed for 49 yards and lost a fumble against a bad Chicago defense.

Odell Beckham, Giants WR: Had one of his worst games as a pro with only 38 yards receiving.

Mike Evans, Buccaneers WR: Only 32 yards receiving after a 100-yard game was very disappointing.

Julio Jones, Falcons WR: Totaled just 38 yards after three straight monster games.

Antonio Brown, Steelers WR: No Ben Roethlisberger was no good. He had only 42 yards with Vick at the helm.

Randall Cobb, Packers WR: Had 44 yards in an odd game in which the 49ers held the Packers to 17 points.

Tight ends: Greg Olsen (Panthers), Travis Kelce (Chiefs), Jordan Reed (Redskins). None had a touchdown or more than 50 yards receiving.
