Week 9 saw a record-setting game by Steelers receiver Antonio Brown, some backups perform well in place of ailing superstars and a great return from injury by Marcus Mariota.

Here’s a Week 9 recap and waiver wire suggestions for Week 10:

Pick ’em up

Marcus Mariota, Titans QB: He might have fallen off some radars, having missed two straight weeks with injury, but he came back in a big way against a bad Saints defense — 371 yards and four touchdowns.

Karlos Williams, Bills RB: Even though LeSean McCoy’s shoulder injury shouldn’t keep him off the field, Williams’ performance should make you take note. He rushed for 110 yards on just nine carries and scored two touchdowns in his return from injury.

Shaun Draughn, 49ers RB: He was the running back the 49ers turned to with Carlos Hyde out. Draughn had 96 combined yards and received the most touches among the backs.

Devin Funchess, Panthers WR: He caught three passes for 71 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers’ big win over the Packers. With favorable matchups on the horizon, he could make his way into your lineup as a flex.

How’d they do?

A look at how last week’s pickup suggestions fared:

DeAngelo Williams, Steelers RB: No Le’Veon Bell? No problem. Williams rushed for 170 yards and two touchdowns. He also had two receptions for 55 yards.

Benjamin Watson, Saints TE: He fell back to earth a bit, but five catches for 60 yards is a solid performance out of the tight end spot.

Week 9 losers

Broncos RBs: Ronnie Hillman and C.J. Anderson each had seven carries, but neither rushed for more than 34 yards. In fact, Hillman managed just 1 yard.

Doug Martin, Buccaneers RB: He had just 31 yards rushing and 12 receiving and lost a fumble as the Bucs had to play from behind.

Demaryius Thomas, Broncos WR: The Broncos finally lost, and it was partly due to Thomas not being very effective. He caught six passes but was held to 50 yards.

Stefon Diggs, Vikings WR: He was coming off a great three-game stretch, but the Rams didn’t let him break out. He caught three of his five targets for 42 yards.

Ted Ginn, Panthers WR: Ginn caught just one of his four targets for 20 yards.

?? BILL WIPPERT / AP ?? Bills running back Karlos Williams returned from an injury Sunday and ran for 110 yards and two touchdowns on just nine carries in a win over the Dolphins.
