Faces off the field

BROOKE BRADLEY, JUNIOR FORWARD, DRIPPING SPRINGS

- — RICK CANTU

Your team’s season starts Tuesday against Lake Travis. What are your expectations?

We hold high expectations for each other through working extremely hard and pushing one another daily. Not only are we pushing each other and getting better, but we also hold true friendships throughout the entire team. We expect to hold this mindset and to be encouraging throughout the entire season.

What’s your favorite memory from high school basketball?

When we found out we made it into a three-way tie to get into the playoffs last year, our team couldn’t have been more excited. Even though we lost (to Leander in a play-in game), it was an awesome experience getting to see God work through our team and every part of that day.

Do you have any pregame rituals?

Before games, I go on Spotify and shuffle around with my music. I envision the game going on in my head, and I try to get myself in the zone. Focused and ready to give it all I got and give all the glory to God.

Your mom, Amie Smith Bradley, was a great player for the University of Texas. What has she taught you about

basketball?

She has taught me how to control my emotions on the court and love the opportunity I’ve been given. Don’t waste it.

If you had the choice of being all-state in basketball or valedictorian of your class, which would you pick?

Receiving all-state in basketball would mean the world to me, and it would show how hard my team has worked. Not only does it show off my team, but my coaches, family and mentors as well.

If you could have dinner with any four people in the history of the world, whom would you invite?

I’d love to have dinner with (Christian worship band) Hillsong United, Beyoncé, (hip-hop artist) G-Eazy and (contemporary Christian musician) Matthew West.

Tell me something about yourself that most people don’t know.

I love to draw, and I strongly dislike bacon. I have a few pieces of my artwork hanging in my room right now, actually.

What do you consider to be the world’s greatest invention?

One of the world’s greatest inventions would have to be the (body gravity board) RevoBot. Those things are insanely cool. I wish I could have one.

Which of your high school courses will benefit you the most after you graduate?

I believe English will help me in college. There is a lot of writing in college, and I hope to be prepared as best I can.

What’s your favorite food?

I’d say the fettuccine alfredo and shrimp from Olive Garden. Plus, their delicious salad and breadsticks on the side.
