Saturday offers fans the first chance to see the Texas baseball team in action this year.

First pitch of the matchup between the current Longhorns and alumni of the UT program is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. An autograph session will begin at 11 a.m.

Texas will open Augie Garrido’s 20th season as coach Feb. 19 at home against UNLV. The Longhorns are picked to finish third in the Big 12 behind favorite TCU and Oklahoma State. Four votes separated the three teams, and all three teams picked up three first-place votes.

Among the alumni slated to play Saturday, with their organizations: Huston Street (pitcher, Los Angeles Angels); Brandon Belt (first baseman, San Francisco Giants); Kirby Bellow (pitcher, Arizona Diamondbacks); John Curtiss (pitcher, Minnesota Twins); Parker French (pitcher, Colorado Rockies); Ben Johnson (outfielder, Kansas City Royals); Taylor Jungmann (pitcher, Milwaukee Brewers); Kevin Keyes (outfielder, Washington Nationals); Corey Knebel (pitcher, Milwaukee Brewers); Brooks Marlow (infielder, Houston Astros); Andrew McKirahan (pitcher, Atlanta Braves); Dillon Peters (pitcher, Miami Marlins); Cameron Rupp (catcher, Philadelphia Phillies); Sam Stafford (pitcher, Texas Rangers); Drew Stubbs (free agent outfielder, with Texas Rangers last season) and Erich Weiss (infielder, Pittsburgh Pirates).
