The Austin American-Statesman to honor local nurses during 2nd annual Recognizing Nurses celebration
The 2018 Recognizing Nurses Celebration is just around the corner, and due to the 177 nominations and incredible feedback we have received, we’ve moved the location for this year’s event to the groovy, spacious Warehouse 305 (at the bat bridge across from the YETI flagship store) on South Congress.
In conjunction with the Texas Nurses Association District 5, The Austin AmericanStatesman is honoring the outstanding nurses in the metro Austin area with the 2nd annual Recognizing Nurses Celebration. These phenomenal nursing professionals will be nominated by colleagues, patients, families and friends, with the top five finalists selected by an independent and nonpartisan judges panel. The top five finalists will be honored at the 2018 Recognizing Nurses Celebration, a red-carpet event on May 10th.
The nomination process is simple. Anyone can nominate a nurse who impacted their life in 2017. To nominate a nurse, visit www.recognizingnurses.com, select the nurse’s hospital from the drop-down menu (or select “other” and write in the practice or organization), and complete the submission form with the nurse’s name and why you’re nominating them.
The 2018 Recognizing Nurses Celebration is a black tie optional event, starting with a cocktail reception at 6:00 p.m., followed by an awards ceremony at 7:00 p.m. and celebration toast & after party at 8:00 p.m. The evening also includes a silent auction with all proceeds benefiting the Texas Nurses Association Scholarship Fund, complimentary valet parking, food, and drink!
