This could last four rounds and take two months. What be­gan Sun­day at Toy­ota Cen­ter might en­dure un­til June 17 for Game 7 of the NBA Fi­nals back in down­town Hous­ton.

Stephen Curry, Kevin Du­rant, Klay Thomp­son, Dray­mond Green, Steve Kerr and the su­perteam War­riors could fi­nally be over­come. King James’ Cav­a­liers, the 59-win Rap­tors and Rus­sell “Triple-Dou- ble” West­brook might fall as the best reg­u­lar-sea­son team in Rock­ets history fol­lows up the Astros’ 2017 World Se­ries cham­pi­onship with Hous­ton’s first NBA ti­tle since 1995.

But no mat­ter how far these 65-win Rock­ets go, one word de­fines this run: legacy. Win it all and it’ll come down to lega­cies. Legacy.
