Stellar Kavanaugh likely not attacker

Austin American-Statesman - - BALANCED VIEWS -

So a Wednesday letter to the editor headline says “Don’t let judge with a record judge others.”

Well, the only record that Judge Kavanaugh has is one of outstanding judicial competence and fairness to his staff through the years.

How can the writer suggest that Dr. Ford has set the record straight when she can’t remember when or where it happened? So far no one has corroborated her story nor does her “private” polygraph have any value. And unlike Judge Kavanaugh, she has not been under oath.

(And shame on Sen. Feinstein for withholding this allegation for over two months — a pure political ploy.)

But being fair-minded, this reader will give Dr. Ford the benefit of the doubt that some teenage boy might have tried to rape her, but it wasn’t Judge Kavanaugh. It sounds like a case of mistaken identity. I feel sorry for her.
