One killed, two injured in Baltimore shootings

Three men were shot, one fatally, in Baltimore late Friday night, police said. About 11:54 p.m., a 32-year-old man was shot in the 1300 block of W. Lafayette Ave. in Sandtown-Winchester. He was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he died, police said. About 10:21 p.m., a 27-year-old man was shot in the 1000 block of Druid Hill Ave. in Upton. About 20 minutes earlier, police were called to an area hospital after a 27-year-old man walked in for treatment for gunshot wounds. Police said the man was shot in the 100 block of S. Murder-suicide suspected in Jessup deaths

Two people were found dead inside a Jessup home Saturday afternoon, Anne Arundel County police said. The deaths are being investigat­ed as a murder-suicide. A man called police about noon Saturday after finding a man and woman dead inside a home on the 7400 block of Montevideo Road, police spokesman Lt. Mike Brothers said. “The son called and I think he found mom and the other gentleman there deceased,” Brothers said. Ruben Coyoy, 39, and Jacinto Alverez Marraquin, 35, both of Edgewood, were found wounded in the 400 block of Gateshead Court about 10:17 p.m., according to the Harford County sheriff ’s office. A sheriff ’s office spokesman said the men were approached by two others while sitting outside a home. A single gunshot was fired at Coyoy and Marraquin as they attempted to go inside, and the bullet struck them both. The other two men immediatel­y fled, sheriff ’s office spokesman Kyle Andersen said.
