Kostecka, Hart lead Loy­ola past Mount

An­drew Kostecka and Isa­iah Hart com­bined to score 43 points for host Loy­ola Mary­land, which won, 75-65, in its 174th meet­ing with Mount St. Mary’s on Sat­ur­day.

Kostecka scored 29 points and 11 re­bounds, while Hart had a sea­son-best 14 points for the Grey­hounds (3-5). Kostecka's 29 were one off his ca­reer high of 30, set Sun­day night at Tow­son. It was his third game of 23 points or more in the past four.

Mount St. Mary's (0-7) led 27-24 on a tran­si­tion layup by Jalen Gibbs with 5:52 left in the first half, but Loy­ola took a 32-29 lead on a 3-poin­ter by Hart at 3:49, an ad­van­tage it would build on for the re­main­der of the first half and not relin­quish for the rest of the game.

BROWN 67, NAVY 50: Des­mond Cam­bridge scored 29 points miss­ing just six of 18 shots and the vis­it­ing Bears (6-3) routed the Mid­ship­men (2-5).

Cam­bridge, who also grabbed seven re­bounds, made all seven of his shot at­tempts in­side the 3-point line and was 5-for-11 from beyond the arc. Joshua Howard scored 13 points and Bran­don An­der­son scored 10 for Brown.
