Revive! Divine Food + Divine Beer

-

Rebecca Arend had no idea where she was heading when her fiancé told her to get ready for date night.

“It was a total surprise,” she said at Revive! Divine Food + Divine Beer at The Shrine of St. Anthony in Ellicott City.

Arend, a 43-year-old obstetrician-gynecologist oncology surgeon, based in Birmingham, Ala., frequently meets up in different cities with her fiancé, Memphis, Tenn., resident Adam El Naggart, on weekends.

El Naggart is responsible for setting up the itinerary. Arend says she’s responsible for dressing the part.

“My job is to match the outfit with the date,” she said.

This evening, she went with a two-piece top and pants ensemble from Free People.

“I said this is the perfect cross between sophistication and Bohemian,” she said. “I will try and never let him down and be the bestdressed guest.” Arend was happy to learn that she was attending the event. “He knows that I’m a total foodie. I love brewers and fine wine,” she said. El Naggart was impressed. “She looks stunning,” he said. “I knew she would be.”

HER ENSEMBLE: Top and pants from Free People — purchased the morning of the event in Towson. Red wedge shoes that she didn’t remember where she purchased. Seiko watch that was a high school graduation gift from her parents; necklace from Free People in Towson; an oversized turquoise ring from her great grandmother on her mother’s side; another vintage ring, which was a gift from her grandmother on her father’s side; cuff that she purchased in college from Club Monaco; dangling earrings purchased by a friend in Colombia.
