Judon, wife welcome 2nd child
Ravens outside linebacker Matthew Judon and his wife, BreighAnn, had to wait a little longer than expected, but the couple on Friday welcomed a second child to their growing family.
Leonidas Joshua Judon was born early Friday morning, according to Matthew’s Instagram story; BreighAnn’s induction had been scheduled for Thursday.
“My heart is full of joy,” Matthew, a Pro Bowl selection and pending free agent, wrote in an Instagram post. “This has to be the most exciting 48 hours of my life. This is a new chapter of my life and new level of my fatherhood, the unknown that I’m headed towards I’m ready for. So many of you guys reached out and I thank y’all for it. Means the world to me and my family. God has blessed my family in ways I can’t put into words. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.”
Aniyah Judon, the couple’s young daughter, was born in June 2015. In February, BreighAnn learned that she had miscarried. Even after BreighAnn became pregnant with the couple’s first son several months later, she and Matthew struggled with their loss. They said they found comfort in sharing their story with others who’d endured similar grief.
“I think just not feeling alone in something, knowing that you’re not the only person going through something, is very comforting,” BreighAnn told The Baltimore Sun last week.
