NO. 1 MCDONOGH 21, GOOD COUNSEL 9: The Eagles extended their national-record winning streak to 127 games with a win over the Falcons (10-2) in Olney.
After lightning delayed the start of the game, the Eagles (15-0) scored the first five goals and ran their lead to 12-4 by halftime.
Twelve McDonogh players scored, led by Catie May (four goals) and Elizabeth George and Julia Hoffman (two goals, two assists each).
The Falcons are ranked No. 5 in the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Top 25 while the Eagles, who haven’t lost in six years, are No. 1 in every national poll.
