Way cleared for Chipotle’s City Dock location

-

Annapolis’ burrito battle could be ending after more than two years of legal tangling. Maryland’s Court of Special Appeals upheld a lower court’s ruling that Moe’s Southwest Grill did not have legal standing to challenge the city’s approval of Chipotle’s proposed location at 36 Market Space. Moe’s attorney Sean Morris called the outcome “disappointing,” saying his client is assessing its options, including a possible appeal to the Court of Appeals — the state’s court of last resort. The ruling could clear the way for Chipotle to replace Hard Bean Coffee on Market Space. The city’s Board of Appeals approved Chipotle’s proposal in January 2013.
