Police pursuit ends in fatal crash on I-95 in Balto. Co.

Two people were killed and four others injured in a crash on Interstate 95 on Friday that began when a Maryland Transporta­tion Authority Police officer chased a vehicle onto the highway after it failed to yield for a routine traffic stop, a spokesman for the agency said. During the pursuit, which began around1:40 p.m. near Eastern Avenue in Baltimore, the vehicle fleeing northbound on I-95 crossed the median and struck a southbound car, MdTA Police 1st Sgt. Jonathan Green said. One person in each of the vehicles was killed, and four others were taken to area hospitals. Green said the crash occurred near New Forge Road in Baltimore County. Green did not identify those involved in the accident.
