69-year-old woman, man found shot to death

A man and an older woman were found fatally shot inside a house in West Baltimore on Monday afternoon, police said. Firefighte­rs went to the house around 12:51 p.m. because smoke alarms were going off, and found the two victims with gunshot wounds to the head and face. The 69year-old woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither of the victims have been publicly identified. Police had no informatio­n on witnesses or suspects. A few hours after the homicide was discovered, a group of family members huddled outside the home with a homicide detective. They declined to talk to a reporter. The home’s entrance was blocked with crime scene tape. Man charged in Annapolis double-stabbing

A19-year-old man has been charged with stabbing two people Sunday night in Annapolis. Fermin Gomez-Jimenez of Annapolis has been charged with multiple counts, including attempted firstand second-degree murder, according to court records. As of Monday, Gomez-Jimenez was awaiting an initial hearing before a District Court commission­er, said Cpl. Amy Miguez, a city police spokeswoma­n. Details surroundin­g the dispute that led to the double-stabbing remained vague in charging documents obtained Monday. Annapolis and Anne Arundel police responded to the 100 block of Hillsmere Drive for a reports of a traffic accident with injuries, as well as gunshots in the area around 11:20 p.m. Sunday, according to court records. Officers discovered Luvin Ronan Martinez Nolasco bleeding behind a small shopping center, court records state. Police found Gonzalo Sanchez Guzman nearby in the 700 block of Annapolis Neck Road also bleeding, court records state. The ages and addresses of the men were not included in court records. The men were taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center with life-threatenin­g injuries, police said. A hospital spokespers­on said both men were in critical condition Monday afternoon.
