Lindley scores record eight goals for Loyola men in win

Loyola Maryland men’s lacrosse attackman Kevin Lindley scored eight goals, setting a Patriot League freshman record, and Pat Spencer (Boys’ Latin) moved into second all-time at Loyola in points and assists as the No. 9 Greyhounds earned a 13-5 win over visiting Holy Cross (1-4, 0-2 Patriot League). Spencer scored three goals and had six assists for Loyola (3-1, 2-0). He has199 points and122 assists in 39 career games, trailing Gary Hanley (1978-1981) in both categories. Hanley had 160 assists and 311 points. DIVISION III MEN: Steven Hildebrand scored in overtime to lift host Ohio Wesleyan (4-1) over No. 3 Salisbury, 12-11. Garrett Reynolds (Archbishop Curley) scored five goals for the Sea Gulls (3-2), who have lost back-to-back games for the first time since March 2015.
