Dulaney grad Busko earns berth in triathlon finals

Cockeysville native Billy Busko, 54, qualified for the world championship in the 70.3 Ironman by placing second Sunday in the Ironman 70.3 Maine in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, in a time of 4 hours, 28 minutes, 31 seconds. He was 36th overall of 2,250. Busko qualified for next year’s world championship in Nice, France. Busko qualified for the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, on Oct. 13 when the Dulaney graduate won his age group at Ironman Chattanooga last September. VARSITY BOYS SOCCER: Gilman opened its season with a 4-1 victory over Boys’ Latin on Thursday. Tyler Martinez, Ryan Martinez, Logan Paff and Luke Unger scored for the Greyhounds and Grant Farley recorded two saves.
